The Hometown Heroes has been CANCELLED due to the weather.
The Hometown Heroes for Hospice Charity Baseball Game scheduled for this Saturday, Sept. 19, has been CANCELLED due to the weather.
It was a difficult decision, but the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service and Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department have decided that postponing the game until Spring 2027 is the best option.
Thank you to everyone who helped organize this event, along with all of our amazing sponsors and supporters. And of course, thank you to everyone who was planning to come out and cheer on our Hometown Heroes.

Middlesex County Council Amendment Update
Today marked a major step forward in our journey to bring hospice care to Middlesex County.
At Middlesex County Council, Strathroy Hospice received unanimous support from every member of County Council, which includes our local mayors and deputy mayors representing communities across Middlesex County.
I would especially like to thank Mayor Colin Grantham and Deputy Mayor Mike McGuire for their incredible words at today’s meeting and for the support they have shown throughout this entire process. Their leadership demonstrates a genuine commitment not only to the people of Strathroy Caradoc, but to families throughout Middlesex County.

A Civic Holiday to Remember: Hot Rods for Hospice 2026
Hot Rods for Hospice made the Civic Holiday Monday one we will never forget!
People from all over came out ready to check out the over 150 custom, one-of-a-kind sports cars, classic cars, trucks, and hot rods that filled the parking lot of Dale Wurfel Chrysler Dodge Jeep. Along with the incredible vehicles, they also enjoyed the 6th Annual Neon Crab Chalk Art Competition. Thank you to all the talented artists who brought their creative visions to life, including White Church Gallery from Courtright, Ontario, which created a Transformers-themed 9 feet tall chalk piece standing that was auctioned off for Strathroy Hospice.
What made this event even more unique was the incredible group of artists and professionals who were on-site, providing tattooing, piercing, and braiding services. So many people got to experience something truly special and leave with a lifelong keepsake. Others got to see your incredible talent and artistry in action, making the experience even more memorable.
The kids had an absolute blast too! Kids Wonder Play Soft Play Area & Games, the Kids’ Zone, Show & Shine, Touch-a-Truck, face painting, and temporary tattoos provided plenty of fun and entertainment for the whole family.
Our amazing Sweet Treats & Vendor Market, featuring local businesses, brought incredible community pride, local products, and excitement to the event. The huge number of prizes attendees won added even more fun to the day. A heartfelt thank-you to all the vendors who came out, supported us, and helped make the event such a success!
The excitement continued throughout the day thanks to the race teams, Strathroy Cruisers, and DJ Daryl who brought an incredible level of energy that kept the crowd going. Thank you all for being there and helping make it an unforgettable day!
A huge shout-out to The Hive Tattoo for everything you did to bring our community together and help build awareness of our mission! Your incredible support helped make Hot Rods for Hospice such a tremendous success.

Hospice Hoedown “Started With a Song” that continued all night!
The Strathroy West Middlesex Memorial Centre was the HOT spot last night, filled with the incredible sounds of Brett Kissel and special guests Mitch Zorn & Tyler DeLargie, along with the unforgettable voices of a sold-out crowd singing along with these proud Canadian music artists.
The evening was filled with so many amazing moments, from the crowd in our Hospice Hoedown T-Shirts celebrating Canadian pride with hundreds of music fans, to the surprise onstage appearance by our local legend, Easton Cowan. Watching Easton get Brett into a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey was a true highlight of the night!
An event like this takes an incredible amount of teamwork, and we want to thank everyone who helped make it possible.

Jukebox Bingo for Hospice Round Two was a night full of dancing, dabbing, drinks, and lots of fun!

Inspire Culture Presents: Hustle For Hospice

Community Over Cancer Event
On Saturday, April 26, 2025, our community came together at the Gemini Sportsplex for the 12th Annual Community Over Cancer event, connected by a shared mission to raise funds to support local families facing cancer and help us closer to our goal of establishing a hospice in Strathroy.
The arena was transformed into an enchanting vintage circus, filled with laughter and conversations, fortune tellers, auctions, live music by The Doubts, captivating entertainment from Circa and even an elephant. The meaningful moments of the evening were when the crowd of over 800 people heard the heartfelt stories of this year’s Honourees. Stories that have left a lasting impact on everyone and showed us why we need to keep moving forward with our hospice mission
This incredible evening was made possible thanks to the dedicated Community Over Cancer board and volunteers, whose hard work and commitment were evident throughout the event. We are deeply grateful to all our sponsors and everyone who donated generously. Your support brings us closer to making the Strathroy Hospice a reality.

Strathroy Hospice Capital Campaign Commencement Event
On Thursday, March 6, at Caradoc Sands, the Strathroy Hospice hosted and welcomed community members to the Strathroy Hospice Capital Campaign Kickoff Event. It was an evening filled with fun and valuable insights into our vision.
Over refreshments and great conversation, attendees heard heartfelt stories of first-hand experiences highlighting the need for a hospice and its profound impact on lives. There was opportunity to meet our Board of Directors and learn more about our mission.
Everyone left with a deeper understanding of how Strathroy Hospice will provide essential end-of-life care to our community, feeling uplifted by the connections made at this meaningful event.
